Note: we do require a non-refundable $25 per suite booked,
this can be paid via: VISA, American Express or MasterCard
and will confirm your reservation at A Rover's Rest Bed &
Breakfast.
We require
fourteen (14) days notice prior to the day (date) of check in, in the case
of cancellation or you will be charged for your total nights booked, unless
we are able to rebook the suite.
If your booking is during a holiday weekend or a local
special event *,
we require thirty (30) days notice prior to the day (date) of check in, in
the case of cancellation or you will be charged for your total nights
booked, unless we are able to rebook the suite.
Any booking that does not provide the required days notice of cancellation
will be charged for your total nights booked, unless we are able to rebook
the suite.
We suggest you purchase trip cancellation/interruption insurance in the
event of unforeseen changes to your travel plans.
Practical
suggestions for having your children at A Rover’s Rest Bed
and Breakfast. We are A Romantic Hideaway at Shuswap Lake
and many of our guest are adults who enjoy a cozy, quiet
and romantic stay. We mainly provide accommodation for
adults and young adults; for that reason we do not have
items for children. i.e. booster seats, highchairs, cribs,
toys, etc. Our home is filled with many antiques and
interesting items. In the past it has been challenging for
parents to enjoy their stay with small children because
our bed and breakfast is not child proof and much of their
time has been spent watching over their little ones to
ensure nothing becomes broken or damaged; therefore our
bed and breakfast is not recommended for children. Our bed
and breakfast has three individual suites; bookings with
children require additional reservation confirmation to
ensure that any other suites booked during the same dates
are aware that children are staying with us. We strive to
ensure that every guests stay with us exceptional for both
family and couple reservations. If you would like to

If you wish to
have friends or family over to our B&B for a quick
tour they are more than welcome free of charge.
Please let us know first and be mindful of our other guests ~ there is a
$10 charge per visitor per day, for your guests that use any facilities or
amenities at A Rover's Rest Bed and Breakfast and an additional charge of
$30 per person for visitor use of the Hot Tub.
We allow you to entertain your family and friends at our B&B; however
extra charges will be incurred if you have not setup and entertainment
reservation and you are disturbing other guests, using facilities
excessively or general untidiness has caused A Rover's Rest Bed and
Breakfast hosts and staff to clean excessively. We do not have visiting hours, as such, but
welcome guests that are respectful of our B&B and of others.

Guest BBQ Usage: A Rover's Rest Bed and
Breakfast has a 3 burner propane BBQ, plus a side burner
that is available for you to use. To keep our room rates
reasonable and still cover the maintenance costs for the
BBQ, when you use the BBQ, we will charge a $10 per day
fee. Your
BBQ usage will include: cooking utensils, proper dishes
and cutlery, a pot and a pan, and we do dishes as well as
manage the trash to keep the bears off the deck.

Gratuities. Tips are discretionary. If the service has
been excellent, more than you have expected or if you have received extras
then the customary tip for your bed and breakfast service provider is $10 to
$20 for a stay of one or two nights. Tips are always appreciated and we do
our best to ensure that your stay with us is always exceptional.

once the key is provided.
