The Canada Select five star accommodation rating
program helps you select a property that best suite
your preferences while travelling in BC.
Properties voluntarily participate in the Canada
Select rating program. Overall cleanliness and state
of repair is a fundamental requirement of the rating
program. Properties are grouped into five categories
based on shared characteristics such as general
location, facilities, services, and market appeal
rating criteria is different for each category.
Properties are then rated based on the extent of
physical facilities and services, amenities and the
quality offered.

maintained.
Public areas ~ Good presentation and very
well kept.
General Comments ~ Everything in place to
retain rating. Bed and breakfast provides
good value for guests."
Each
year for the past four years, Arrington Publishing
has hosted a contest in which inn-goers vote for the
favourite B&B/country inn in various categories, and
we publish the results in Arrington¹s Inn Traveller's
Book of Lists edition at the end of each year. 2005
competition was tight, as we received more than
22,000 ballots the most ever nominating B&Bs and
country inns all over North America. The winners in
each category represent the top 3 percent of the
finest establishments throughout the United States
and Canada. The votes were tabulated in proportion
to the number of guest rooms in each establishment.
Winning inns could place in one category only and
are listed under the category in which it received
the most number of votes.
